Jan Kneschke has released version 1.4.11 of Lighttpd.
This very capable web server has recently been deployed on Sourceforge.net.
I use it for all my servers, and can not speak highly enough about its speed and flexibility.

Hey there… thanks for mentioning my post on the Mac Mini NOC. I have a question. I think I might start to use lighttp more. I am getting heavy into RoR and I’m wondering too if it would help speed up my Drupal powered blog.
Right now I am using the /opt/apache2 that comes with OS X Server and I use PHP 5.1.1 from entropy.ch with MySQL 5. I have DP installed on all the machines, how would your recommend going about installing that and getting it working?

BTW, I was only able to get comments working in FireFox, my Safari would generate a 501 error, but that may be because I am actually using WebKit. I forgot to test that. FYI.
